Basic Obedience Class

Class Start: May 10, 2008

This class is a 7 week course for puppies and dogs 5 months and older that meets for an hour each week.

This class teaches you how to effectively communicate with your dog.  Basic commands give you the tools you need to get the behaviors you want. Covers how dogs think and learn, pack structure and leadership, commands such as sit, down, stay, leave-it, come and more, as well as how to get your dog to reliably respond to your visual and/or verbal cues.

Class is every Saturday  9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Intermediate/AKC Canine Good Citizen Class

Class Start Date:  June 14, 2008 

This class is a 7 week course and meets for an hour each week.  Please bring your dog to the first class.

This class is for dogs who have a good understanding of the basic commands and for owners who are looking to take their dog's level of obedience to the next level. Learn how to correct and control your dog under a variety of distractions and in different environments. Several new obedience commands will be introduced in this class such as Drop on Recall and intermediate level heeling exercises. This class is fun and fast paced. You will really strengthen your working relationship with your dog and achieve a more in depth understanding of how your dog thinks and learns. The CGC test will be given during the last class and time will be spent during classes discussing and preparing for the test.

Class is every Saturday  11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $150.00  (includes AKC testing fee)

*Note: Please do not bring your puppy/dog to the first of the Puppy or Basic Obedience classes.  The first class will be a theory class.   Pre-registration is required and fees are not refundable after classes have started.
